Living History - Black Profiles of the Past and Present Which Continue To Shape Our Future

The Nubiano Project, Inc., an independent organization committed to the empowerment of the Black Community, today announced the availability of the first in a series of highly anticipated works of literature entitled, Black Profiles: The North American Experience, Vol 1.

From thought leaders and inventors to artists and athletes, Black Profiles explores the contributions of a distinct, influential culture, as well as that culture's impact on the world. In all, the book contains 50 mini-biographies, inspirational quotes and illustrated portraits, intended to raise readers' awareness and spirit.

Even with the advent of Africana curriculum, it is disappointing that information regarding the Black Diaspora is disparate and often presented without enthusiasm or great care, said Clayton Perry, founder of the Nubiano Project. In order to reverse that trend, our organization strives to highlight and preserve under-represented and ignored segments of history through the production of the Black Profiles series.

Volume 1 showcases the determination, creativity, passion and character of prominent Black pioneers, and serves as a tribute to all of the men and women who enabled the creation of such a series. Black Profiles is intended for readers of all ages and education levels, whether they seek personal enlightenment or are engaged in more formal curricula.

Our goal is that all generations are afforded the opportunity to interact with and gain an understanding of their past, continued Perry. After all, these are the 'Black Profiles' who continue to shape our future.
