24th ANNUAL OCTOBER GALLERY PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL ART EXPO In Celebration of African American Art and
The Art of Living Well

The theme, Connecting People with Art,
will resonate during the three-day long 24rd Annual October Gallery Philadelphia
International Art Expo. The event is one of the nation’s largest
African American Art Expos. It takes place Friday, November 13th and
Saturday, November 14th from 10am to 10pm, and Sunday, November 15th from
10am to 7pm at The Liacouras Center (Temple University), 1776 N. Broad Street.
ADMISSION IS $10 per day, $5 Seniors and Students,
Children under 12 are free!
This is an Expo of popular world art and the art of living well, combining unique visual art with an opportunity to meet and network with African American artists in a setting that is exciting and multifaceted. Because this year, Expo is offering many other features to an already marvelous weekend of events. The Expo is comprised of 8 components: ►The Art Expo (3 days of art exhibitors) ►A Comedy Contest (hosted by Good Times' Jimmie Walker) ►A Poetry Contest (the Art of Spoken Word) ►A Book Fair/Pavilion featuring prominent, current authors ►A Multicultural Professional Job Fair ►A Travel Pavilion presenting vacation/travel information ►“Paint Nude Expo” featuring Body Art ►A “Living Green” Expo / info concerning the environment October Gallery is pleased to announce in conjunction with LIVE NATION our first CONCERT featuring The Sound Of Philadelphia “LOVE TRAIN” Line-Up: THE O'JAYS, RUSSELL THOMPKINS JR. and THE NEW STYLISTICS, JERRY BUTLER, THE DELFONICS, THE JONES GIRLS, HAROLD MELVIN'S BLUENOTES, EDDIE HOLMAN, and THE INTRUDERS. The Concert will be on Saturday November 14th beginning at 6:00pm Not only will the fabulous entertainers mentioned above be at EXPO, also appearing will be the phenomenal jazz flutist Bobbi Humphrey( named “First Lady of the Flute”), Clifton Davis, Brazilian songstress Judith Kay, samba musician J. Velloso, from TV series“Good Times “ BernNadette Stanis and Ralph Carter, Las Vegas Impersonator and Entertainer Bryan Clark, gospel artist/singer Billy Thompson, local jazz songstress Denise King, and a host of many ,musical talents. About 100 exhibitors will be there representing 45 states and 6 countries. Meet in person: Charles Bibbs of California, and Larry Poncho Brown from Baltimore. The art of world famous James Denmark will be represented. Also, meet Cal Massey from New Jersey, Sidney Carter and ceramicist/painter Kimmy Cantrell who both hail from Georgia. And our featured artist is Mr. Frank Frazier, who has appeared at Expo since its inception many years ago. Demonstrations of acrylic painting, book signings at the Book Pavilion (Omar Tyree!) and so much more. This is EXPO’s 24TH ANNIVERSARY! Next year we will celebrate 25 years of October Gallery.
