The Living Artist
Gallery is the personal Website of G. L. Handon - that's me. Here you
will find samples of some of my paintings, graphics, illustrations and
other artistic creations. Until recently, most would consider me a
painter using traditional media. However, with the advent of digital
painting tools, I find myself delving deeper into the digital art
realm. That's not to say I've given up getting paint on my clothing -
I'm just expanding and exploring. Hopefully you'll find something of
interest to you within my growing portfolio.
Personal statement regarding my painting:
Although I hate labels, I guess
I can be considered a conceptual, minimalist painter. I truly
believe the old adage, "less is more". My emphasis is the abstract of
human existence and condition - using recognizable shapes and figures
to represent abstract thought. Color is used to set mood and emotion.
Hands are usually a fixture in my pieces. I feel they often speak
louder than words.
