EXPO COMEDY IDOL
CONTEST

Comics must
register here online.
Registration fee is
$100
Each
Comic will receive ten (10) Expo tickets with their registration fee.
These
tickets sell for $10. Ten tickets x $10 = $100.
Comedy must be CLEAN, no profanity, otherwise you will be removed from
the contest, no refund.
Phase one of the contest will be on Friday, November 13.
This will be a process of elimination. No more than four (4) comics
will be on stage at one time. This is called a set. These comics will
have 2 minutes each to perform during a set.
The judges will pick one comic from the set on stage. The winning comic
from that set will move on the final round Saturday, November 14, 2009,
hosted by Jimmy JJ Walker from the hit TV series Good Times,
Saturday’s final round will have the same process as above EXCEPT the
judging will be done by audience applauds. The winner of each set on
Saturday will move to the back of the line and continue to perform in
future sets until there is only one comic left standing.

four comics standing will receive: .
Last comic standing - Comedy Idol $2000 cash, weekend
hotel package valued $1000 and framed art valued $1500 = $4500 money
& prizes
Next
to the last comic standing -
$500 cash
and framed art valued $300 = $800 money & prize
3rd comic standing - $250 and unframed art valued $150 =
$400 money & prize
4th
comic standing - $200 cash
and unframed art valued $100 = $300 money & prize
Each
registered comic will receive the Expo poster valued at $45. Everyone
gets something.
Total payout
cash and prizes $6000 based on 100 comics signing up for contest. If
less than 100 comics sign up - prizes are awarded 50% as stated above.
