This gifted individual, has gained his proficiency as an artist through extensive study and years of creative contributions. In 1980's, he earned his bachelors degree in fine art from the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago which strengthened his ability to create his paintings, drawings, and prints with depth and skill. Jonathan Green has exhibited extensively in museums and galleries throughout the country, the West Indies, and Europe. He is an astute observer of the subtleties of human nature and man's relationship with his environment.  He has traveled extensively and pursued independent studies in Europe, the United States, and Mexico meeting with artists such as Romare Bearden, Jacob Lawrence, and Dorothy McCray.  Their influences combined with a profound desire to express his rich heritage through visual depictions, gives Jonathan Green a unique, human connection to his paintings and prints.
